ABOUT ABOUT

Get ready to dance with prairie-indie band Scenic Route To Alaska and roots-rockers Digging Roots.

The easygoing Edmonton-based trio Scenic Route to Alaska is comprised of Trevor Mann on lead vocals and guitar, drummer Shea Connor, and bassist Murray Wood, effortlessly weaves catchy vocals and memorable melodies through rich arrangements – instantly engaging but begging to be heard again and again. It’s a coveted combination within the crowded sphere of indie rock – and one that’s rarely the product of anything but time, talent, and heaps of hard work.

"Aboriginal roots-rockers Digging Roots have a message to share with the confused, fearful world we seem to be living in. Their new song, "AK-47" is a blues stomper for peace and love. Singer Shoshona Kish wants to fill the titular firearm with hope and flowers, while the video stars her as a benevolent warrior amidst the Canadian wilderness as images of grenades and soldiers fly past.
